Why did you choose this industry?
I had a love for makeup as well as art for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love working with people.
That combined, what better job than a makeup artist. Every face is a blank canvas to paint on. Then of course I absolutely love giving other woman more confidence and make them feel beautiful by enhancing their already natural beauty with makeup.
How long have you been in this industry?
I have been in this industry for 16 years and still loving it!
We have heard a lot of names for this profession, what would you call yourself?
I am an artist for sure.
Have you ever had an ‘oops’ moment with a client? What happened?
No, not really. Actually, I can’t think of anything. Sure there are lots of stressful moments especially when you need to stay on time and someone shows up late. I guess as a makeup artist I learned to save or sort out a situation before it can become an oops moment.
If you could give an award to any woman in your life for her inspiration, who would it be? Why?
My mother for sure! Because she has supported me with everything in my life and has always been there for me. She always told me I could be whatever I wanted to be, so now I get to do a job I love!
What is the most fascinating part of your daily life at work?
Not one day, face, or job is the same. I love that! Never a dull moment. Meeting new people everyday, working with different faces and looks, it’s so much fun.
